OUTDOOR GAME 4 - Red Light Green Light -

-RED LIGHT GREEN LIGHT-

In this game, one person plays the ‘stop light’ and the rest try to touch him/her. At the start, all the children form a line about 15 feet away from the stop light. The stop light faces away from the line of kids and says ‘green light’. At this point the kids are allowed to move towards the stop light. At any point, the stop light may say ‘red light!’ and turn around. If any of the kids are caught moving after this has occured, they are out. Play resumes when the stop light turns back around and says ‘green light’. The stop light wins if all the kids are out before anyone is able to touch him/her. Otherwise, the first player to touch the stop light wins the game and earns the right to be ‘stop light’ fort he next game.

OUTDOOR GAME 3 - What's The Time Mr. Wolf ?

-WHAT’S THE TIME MR. WOLF-

One player is the wolf and he/she will stand with his/her back turned to the others about 5 meters from the others. The others call out, ‘ What’s the time Mr. Wolf? ’ and the wolf turns to face the others and shouts out a time. Eg: 10 o’clock. The others would then take 10 steps toward the wolf. The group will take the same amount of steps toward the wolf as the amount of hours in the wolf time. Eg, 2 o’clock = 2 step, 6 o’clock = 6 steps etc. The wolf will then turn his back to the group again for them to yell ‘What’s the time…’(He looks at the group only when he shouts the time at the group’. When the group gets close to the wolf the next time the group yells ‘ What’s the time Mr. Wolf?’ the wolf will say ‘DINNER TIME!’ and run after the group who are running back to the start line, and hopefully catch one of the group who will then be the wolf. It sounds messy, but when played is an enjoyable game.

OUTDOOR GAME 2 - Hide And Seek -

-HIDE AND SEEK-

First you pick someone to be IT (the person to seek or the seeker) then she/he turns around and counts with their eyes closed at the ‘base’  while the rest of the people hide. Then IT says ‘Ready or Not, Here I Come’ and rushes to find everyone. Then the people try to get to base without getting tagged or else they are ‘IT’. When a child touches home base before IT and has not been tagged, he yells: ‘I’m at home!’ If the person who is ‘IT’ doesn’t get someone in three tries, he gets to pick a child to be IT, saying ‘You are IT !’!

OUTDOOR GAME 1- Cats In The Corner-

-CATS IN THE CORNER-

Mark off square play area. The ball thrower will be in the center of the square. There are safe zones at each of the corners where all the players called Cats will be. When the thrower calls ‘ Cats In The Corner’, the Cats have to run from one corner to another without getting hit by the ball. They can go any direction including diagonal as long as they do not get hit. Any player hit by the ball. If you have a large group you can have several balls and a couple throwers.

Today’ s Weather

Yapimini asagida belirttigim siteden buldugum ‘hava durumu penceresi’ dersin basında kullanabilecegimiz sahane bir rutin =) Her dersin basinda, selamlasmadan sonra uygulayabiliriz… Ben duvara yapistirmayi dusundum cunku siniflarimizda yeterli yer yok. A4’ ten biraz büyük bir karton yapistirilir. Ust kismi yapistirmadan PVC kagıdı takilir (cizdigimiz resimleri kolayca degistirebilmek icin). Kenarlara yine benzer sekilde perde takilir. Iyi eglenceler =)

Tereyag Kutusununun Uzay Gemisine Dönüsümü

Biten tereyag kutularini atmak yerine uzay gemisi yapıp ingilizce koselerini susleyebilirsiniz =) Tereyagını fazla tuketiyorsanız ya da ogrenci sayiniz azsa sanslisiniz cunku sinifta sanat calismasinda kullanabilirsiniz... Benim gibi ogrenci sayisi fazla olanlar en basta dedigim gibi sınıfta ingilizce kosesi icin ya da okul girislerine yaptiginiz 'bulletin board' icin kullanabilirsiniz... Ben Uzay Sinifi'nin 'English Corner' i icin kullanmayı dusunuyorum ;)

Herkes sevdigi iste basarili olur ilkesinden yola cikarak cocuklarimiza yabanci dil egitimini once sevdirmeyi hedeflememiz gerekiyor ki basarili olsunlar. Bu yuzden ingilizce derslerinde ogrettigimiz konulari birde dokunarak tekrar etmeleri icin ‘art activity’lerimizi olabildigince eglenceli seylerden olusturmamiz gerekiyor. Yabanci meslektaslarimiz fikirlerini paylasmaktan cekinmiyorlar… Ulkemize ait ise ‘’nedense? ‘’ fikir paylasimi cok az. Bu yuzden ELT ogrencisiyken (universite yillarimda) internet benim icin cok faydali olamadi bu konuda. Umarim simdi ELT ogrencileri basta olmak uzere ‘very young learners’ icin ingilizce egitim veren meslektaslarim bu fikirlerden faydalanabilirler. Farkindayım okul yillarinda sunum hazirliklari icin fikir lazım ya da aynı seylerden bikmis ogretmen arkadaslarıma yeni aktiviteler gerekiyor… Buyurun tepe tepe kullanin =)
